Eagles Nest LodgeThis
is the entrance to Eagles Nest Lodge off Muske Ullrich Rd. When coming to the Lodge, you may park under the
carport to unload your luggage. Parking is in front of the Lodge. The doors to the right are where the Trails
West office is located. The
Lodge is a great place for a small corporate retreat and/or meeting place. Catered meals/simple breakfasts arranged at request. Sorry,
no pets are allowed at the Lodge. No children under age 12. We provide
a continental style buffet breakfast which includes pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, bottled
water & soft drinks. Each day we like to vary the menu with occassional breakfast casseroles, biscuits &
gravy + sausage patties, scrambled eggs etc.

The front of Eagle's Nest Lodge is approached from Mayer Cemetery Rd.
The Lodge is located at 10770 Mayer Cemetery Rd north of and across the creek from the cabin area. The front veranda
is 40 feet across with lots of seating to enjoy your morning coffee.

Hi! I am Betty Smith Meischen and I love Texas history! I have written
several books on the subject and have been studying historical records for over 40 years.

On December 27, 2008 our three children Rebecca, Scott & Jeff celebrated
Christmas with us and enjoyed the first fire in our new fireplace at Eagle's Nest Lodge.

Great room / bar area. Guests are allowed to keep drinks in the bar refrigerator
and we have additional space in another refrigerator. We do encourage guests to bring their own ice chest and keep it
in the carport area.

A few words about our Lodge. Sorry no pets or children under
the age of 12 are allowed at the Lodge. There is NO SMOKING inside the lodge. We really want you to feel at home here.
Our continental style breakfast is served between 8:00-9:00 AM. It is very informal, so pjs & robe is fine. You
may bring an ice chest and leave it under our covered carport area. You may use the outdoor grill. You may also
leave drinks in our bar refrigerator. Please feel free to lounge on our front porch or play the piano in our music room.
We have lots of books if you wish to read or watch TV in the downstairs den. Please note that our office is at the Lodge, however, often we are across the creek
at the cabins. If we are not at the Lodge upon your arrival, please check to see if we might be on the other side.
Please notify us of the expected time of your arrival, preferably 24 hours in advance of your reservations. We prefer
that you check in before dark. During Antique Festivals, things often get hectic with the arrival of many guests at
the same time, so we apologize in advance if we are not immediately available. Please make yourself at home downstairs
in the den, and we will be there directly. Call
us today for reservations! Trails
